What cities are going to burn down over this one?

Instead of “Defund the Police” Remove qualified immunity now.

This happened in Ohio. A 23 year old Tractor Trailer Driver was being pulled over for a mud flap issue. He refused to pull over. The State Police deploy spike strips and flatten his tires bringing him to a stop. He gets out of his truck, kneels on the ground and interlocks his fingers on his head. This should be the end. Charge him, Jail Him and move on.

Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. One of the local police officers that was on the scene is a Canine Patrol Officer. The state police Trooper can be heard yelling “Do not release the dog” Do you think this local officer listens. No he doesnt. He releases his dog on this 23 year old and the violence is so bad one of the troopers on scene can be seen turning her back and covering her face.

How can this crap be justified in a civil society? How many more cities have to burn over this stupid stuff? All police Officers should be bonded for a minimum of 1m, When they do this garbage, the bond would pay out.

Qualified immunity has to end and I mean RIGHT NOW!

If the Supreme Court won’t do it, Congress must.

And when a judgement is obtained against the police, it should not be covered by insurance.

Rather, a bond should be placed against the offending level of government and a tax levied on the citizens thereof to pay that bond.

When citizens have to pay for the actions of their police department, I bet they will be real quick to demand change.

Once again, an incident like this has the factor of non-compliance. The guy had even stopped at one point, and then took off again.

But let me make it clear that his non-compliance in absolutely no way justifies the cop’s release of the K9. The pursuit was done already. I think that cop should face charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

We expect the person being pursued to heed the cop’s orders. “Keep your hands up…”, “Step away from the car…” Whatever. Well the Highway Patrolman’s order was more than clear to the local cop. But he did not comply. To me, that’s worse than the perp not complying. The K9 cop (usually) is someone more experienced than the run-of-the-mill cop. He knew better.

The left needs to make up it’s mnd on whether they want big govt or not. It’s big govt and all it’s laws that turns us into a police state. I mean a mud flap? So he was killed by over regulation. Who votes for over regulation all the time? Oh, democrats…

Don’t worry, the left won’t be burning any cities down over this one.

Who was killed?

The right needs to figure what big governemnt means because we are continuously told that Local government isn’t big government.

I have no doubt the officer will be punished for this…most likely losing his job too and once again, it all begins with non-compliance to a direct police order…seriously escalating the whole situation.

If your going 70 or 80 MPH on a highway, a mudflap that comes off of a truck in front of you could cause injury and a pile up.

Mudflaps are required by law in each state. One of the purposes of a properly installed mudflap is to keep debris from hitting the car behind the truck. Debris from an 18 wheeler can cause significant damage and also result in injury and pile up’s.

If this driver’s mudflap posed a risk, I can understand why he was pulled over. Why the guy took off after he was pulled over was an incredibly dumb move that got him into big trouble.

Releasing the K-9 while he had his hands up was an incredibly stupid and unnessary thing to do. Even the fellow officers were appalled.

Well the problem with that take is that in this one incident we have an example of how cops are supposed to handle it and see it juxtaposed with another cop who completely screwed everything up.

After the second chase ended the truck driver got out of the truck with his hands above his head and got on his knees almost without having to be told to do so. He was being extremely cooperative at this point; he was surrendering both mentally and physically. And the state troopers on the scene seemed to have recognized that and were giving him clear and concise directions on what they needed him to do.

Suddenly a local canine officer is bringing his dog into the situation and one of the state troopers rightfully points out “do not release that dog while the suspect is on the ground.”

And what does that local yahoo cop do? He orders his dog to attack the suspect. A suspect who is in full compliance, who has surrendered both mentally and physically, and whom the state troopers are clearly trusting by this point since it is clear that the suspect is no longer a threat.

Even they were flabbergasted at the local K9 officer’s choice to have the dog attack. It made absolutely no sense and it was barbaric. Because the man was being extremely cooperative at this point and following the state trooper’s directions perfectly.

And then one psychopath with a dog had to destroy everything that was achieved thus far. And I hope that Mr. Jadarius gets a nice fat settlement and buys himself a new Corvette with the money.

I agree but the point I was also making is…which came first, the chicken or the egg? All too often, as in this case too…non-compliance is ignored by the media that’s covering the case. This in NO WAY excuses the behavior of the officer but BLM would never have existed, had there not been non-compliance first…that’s being totally ignored. It’s all “defund the police” and now…our nation’s problem has exacerbated.

As tragic as this case is has anyone determined why the driver simply didn’t pull over and deal with whatever the issue was with the “mud flap”?
For ■■■■■ sake a mud flap caused this ■■■■ show?

The unfortunate part of this desire is that the citizenry of the location will be the ones to bear the cost and the perpetrator will get off with no repercussions at all. While I was in the Military. we had “Line of Duty” investigations. If it was found that the soldier was performing his duties in accordance with his instructions, then it was considered in Line of Duty and the military shouldered the costs. If it was considered that he was gross negligent in his duties and not in line of duty, he would be court martialed and sent to prison. If these Police Officer’s were actually imprisoned for their gross negligence, this stupid stuff would stop. End Qualified Immunity now.

And now the rest of the story:

Police K-9 handler who released dog that attacked an unarmed Black man in Ohio has been fired.

We can turn doen the drama and emotionalism.

No Sir; Fired is not good enough. That was assault with a deadly weapon he committed. Charge him as he should be, and then we can turn down the drama.

I’m not saying the trucker was an angel, he isnt. But if that was your son or daughter that he sicked the dog on, would you be ok with it to turn down the drama? Knowing my temper, I would probably be the one in jail had he done that to my kid.
