My problem with the tweet is the broad-brushing. “Jewish communities” in the US have different opinions about different things, just like everyone else.
No he didn’t. But you latched on to it and made the same wrong claims. Jews are not “white” in the American sense just because they are caucasian. They are “white” if their skin is white.
“White” is a useless physical description.
I will agree that he should have used a different term. That’s as far as I will go.
I will agree that the white descendants of white European Jews have white skin.
Semites come in all colors, as do caucasians. I will not agree that “Jews are white” as a blanket statement.
Anymore than I agree that Hispanicos “are white” as a blanket statement.
What he said about Jews supporting the hatred used against them is correct.
I think we are dancing around of the truth about your claims that the conflict is “about land not Jews.”
There seems to be a major difference between the descendants of European and American Jews and Israeli Jews. I can think of various reasons that might be.
European and American Jews are all screwed up with progressivism, etc. Completely indoctrinated. Always leaned a bit that way anyway.
I can see how an American Jew would separate in their mind Israel and Jewish. I can’t see it to the point of supporting HAMAS “Palestine” over Israel, but I’m not an indoctrinated critprog.
Yes it does confirm my victimhood bias of Jews being isolated by some. Of course. All claims of antisemitism are victimhood. Each and everyone of them.
