What about the American Farmers?

I said nothing about ag subsidies. Are you following the conversation at all?

Absolutely. And getting better every year. Why? Because today’s markets incentivize that innovation.

Democrats don’t hate capitalism, cons.

The incentive is massive subsidization.

No, I’M the one who brought up ag subsidies. No flies on you!

Farm subsidies = GOOD
Oil and gas tax credits = GOOD
Subsidies for developing renewable energy technology = BAD

Got it.

Deflection and attempt to derail the thread noted.

Then let me clarify my position. I have no problem with subsidies for research and development in emerging technologies when a solid case can be made that it’s beneficial to the future of our country. As opposed to propping up dying (and killing) industries like coal.

I wouldn’t even mind financing the subsidies by cutting back tax credits (or, you know, subsidies) on already highly profitable industries like gas and oil.

Of course you wouldn’t.

We all know its exactly true

We’ve alreasy discussed this. Go back and read the thread. The green deal isnt the end of agruculture as the CEC has led you to believe

And once again farm bankruptcy does not mean you go out of business and have to pack up and move to town.

Chpt 12 gives a farmer the ability to reorganize, stay in business and keep the creditors at bay for years.

She claims that if we don’t stop using fossil fuels within 10 years the world will end in 12 years.

We can’t feed our own population much less much of the rest of the world without using fossil fuels, it’s quite simply impossible.

Well except that the math and the facts show it to be totally false.

Other than that you’re doing great with it.

That’s exactly what’s happening.

Then show otherwise if you can. Chpt 12 rules are clearly laid out at the link provided.

I’m not talking about the plight of farmers, I’m asking how do we feed America with the New Green Deal in place stoping the use of fossil fuels which is needed to power equipment?

Ok so you can’t show what you’re claiming to be true. Just as expected.

How did we go from powering farming equipment without fossil fuel to the past, present and future security of the American farmer?

The two are completely tied to one another.

I don’t know the farmers your talking to, but the last two years have been than average for my family’s feedlot which we run about 1500 head of cattle through every year and another 800 to 1000 hogs. We grow our own crops for feed which is done on 1500 acres and that’s only done with equipment that is powered by a internal combustion engine which require the use of diesel fuel and that requires the mining for what is needed to refine fossil fuel.

No she doesnt

Right. I’m sure Fox News or the Daily Caller has a really good analysis you can link to. Although, I’m sure your probably confusing real reporting with CEC driven AOC socialist superstar hysteria

That’s not my question, I have several family members that work for the railroad which locomotives require huge battery’s but only to start the engine. My question is what do myself and other farmers do if we don’t have our equipment to grow and harvest our crops?
