I agree. Not sure I believe the story she had $3k in cash for easter gifts and to pay for dinner without being recognized. She plasters herself all over social media so its not like she tries to keep a low profile.
My theory, she was going to buy a ■■■■ load of coke to stick up her nose .
The irony of the boss of Homeland Security getting robbed is hilarious.
We only have a piece of the story, of course. I’m wondering if it’s a restaurant where people walking to their table (or exiting after eating) brush closely by those sitting at tables. A good pickpocket-type thief could easily (and with out detection) grab a purse placed on the aisle-side of the patron.
Maybe Secret Service needs to assess whether certain restaurants are too risky to let protected personnel patronize.
I haven’t seen anything that says she was close to her bag when it was stolen. I think that if someone had grabbed it off her shoulder, the story would have reported it. The fact that the SS would be focused on her would give the thief the opportunity to grab the bag from a chair or whatever.
She’s in a big city now. Mean city too. For all we know, she could have left it at her table and she was hobnobbing at a nearby table. She’ll be keeping that bag a lot closer to her at all times moving forward, I’ll bet.
I’m a fan. But if she’s the boss of homeland security and gets her purse stolen, she looks like an idiot. Her security detail is separate from her. Did she expect them to watch her purse? How dumb can you be? If you have 3k in your purse, do you allow it out of your sight?
He then uses his left foot to drag and slide the bag into his possession and away from Noem.
What sort of idiot leaves a bag with $3k on the floor? Its just asking for trouble. I dont carry cash but i never leave my wallet in a jacket that is hung on the back of my chair in a restaurant. This is basic adulting.
I had heard the bag itself was some high-end designer bag that costs thousands to buy. Good chance the thief didn’t even know the cash bonanza that was in the bag. He was foremost after the bag itself.
I’m sticking with my naive-and-careless supposition on this one.
Are you a jackass when you make a mistake? If that’s your go to, I’ll be sure to oblige you in the future with the moniker.
Being careless or naive or assuming with security that there would be no issue does not make you a jackass. But continuing to call someone that for this scenario may make say more about the person saying it than the one being labeled. I’ll be sure to call every lib/dem who messes up even a little, and it’s their own fault, a jackass.
Dems sure love them a losing side of an issue. 20% all the way.
No kidding! I grew up knowing people that would’ve robbed their own mothers blind at the drop of a hat. And it wasn’t in some liberal big city. It was in southwestern Virginia farm country.
