Not saying its her fault but there is a reason why many home insurance policies do not generally cover more than a few hundred dollars either in the home or away.
Its just not sensible to carry large amounts of cash.
Well the article says why she had all that cash. It was to take her extended family to dinner later on (I would have paid for that with a credit card, just saying) and for cash Easter gifts.
I pay in cash for most things, but I never carry anywhere near that amount on me. I won’t buy something that expensive with cash either. My guess is that she was looking to give someone money.
Dude people in small towns don’t even carry that much cash on them. I live in a small town (well in a rural area outside of one) and they will rob your ass if you go around waving 3 grand around. It ain’t safe for stupidity out here either.
Like what would you even buy? Ain’t nothing in the small town I live outside of worth that much except lawn mowers and people selling cars. And most of those cars are only worth that much in their minds.
I think it was a really good thief that took the opportunity to snatch a poorly guarded purse. A good thief is an opportunist. I doubt he knew who she was. Just that a favorable situation presented itself, and he took it.
And yes I live smack dab in the middle of Trump country. Like it’s stereotypically Trump country. You look up MAGA in the dictionary and it’s literally a picture of my county. Even the black folks here voted for Trump.
“Well, I was going to take you all out for an exorbitant dinner, and give you all big cash gifts, but alas, all of my cash unfortunately seems to have been stolen! (Ummm, can you pick up the check?)”
