Well, instead of any kind of humility, common courtesy, or even an attempt to meet another in the middle, just doubled down on the condescension with attempted justification for it, & basically saying ridicule is more warranted. Noted. It comes off as arrogant & again, who is willing to listen to someone who does that? You only look good before those who are just as likely to belittle others.

I can’t understand what kind of monster would deny a dying person at least a chance to live by giving them the drugs that have shown already in thousands of cases to help. They should no longer be in the medical profession in my opinion to act so heartless & not being true to their oath. Further, the governors & mayors who banned those drugs should be removed from office.
For them to say to a doctor who wants to give the life-saving drugs to their patient they cannot do so is evil. They should not come between the doctor & patient. Makes one wonder if the motivation is just that Trump suggested it, making it even more despicable to do such a thing for some political slam on Trump, putting politics ahead of lives.

Yup I do that too at times…but not directed personally to posters here most of the time, it’s mostly directed at politicians. I never report anyone to the mods, never curse, & try to respect those with opposing views when they are respectful. If one does go on the attack towards me, I might or might not say something, but try to stay on subject, & do spar a bit & defend my opinion. It IS a debate forum, but common curtesy is still a goal worth striving for, do you agree?
If you remember one poster on here once trashed my deceased mother & I didn’t attack back or report him to the mods. It was probably the single most hurtful thing ever said to me on this forum, & it’s difficult to hurt my feelings, especially here.
Some of his buds on here cheered him on as well, all I came back with over that was to say how mean I thought it was as best as I remember my response, I think partly because I couldn’t believe he was doing that, & was shocked at his callus comments to the point I didn’t really know what to say.

I was here almost when this forum was first established. That used to be a rule here. I actually agree in looser rules however, & we self police, as noted in the fact I never go to the mods.
So, yup, I admit sometimes I do say things here I shouldn’t, & for that I apologize. But, in this case I wasn’t defending myself, I was defending another, who I suppose didn’t need defending, he can hold his own, but I did.
I was mostly pointing out that condescension doesn’t get a listening ear to the point being made, & was therefore ineffective, as well as insulting. The insult is all the hearer remembers & the point is missed. But hey, you can defend the condescending poster based on deflecting that I do it too if you like, but my point about it is still very much valid.

6000 doctors have been using those drugs on many patients & with great results.
If they only treated one patient each the number would be 6000, but some treated hundreds in this manner.
Yes absolutely some governors did ban the use of those drugs for corona virus with executive orders . One just back tracked the last day or so. Monstrous!
One more thing: If YOU or YOUR CHILD was dying from the virus would you take it or allow the child to? Truth!

I’d need more evidence the drug worked before I’d definitively say yes. I don’t believe in false hope.
Doctors are prescribing the stuff…that doesn’t mean we have evidence it’s working. We have no idea how the doctors are controlling things so they can definitively say the drug is working. We saw from previous trials…even the good French one…that the drug was given to people who were mostly in the least serious category while the control group was not.
For all we know, the people who got the drug were going to recover anyway.
You don’t know how to prove a drug works. To be honest, neither do most doctors. I’m sure they’re good…but most of them are not clinicians.

You have any data to show that? We use hydroxychloroquine on our moderate to severely ill hospitalized patients, so does virtually every hospital in the US. I have not heard or seen these “great results.” It seems you have an insight into the situation, please share.
Not when very sick patients are testing virus free 3-7 days after beginning treatment.

A doctor saying something happened on a talk show, without review, documentation or proof of results does not make it true. Sorry.
Here’s a pro tip. Anyone claiming 100% efficacy of any treatment or medication is full of it. To put it another way, if it works for him 100% of the time why hasn’t the exact same regimen worked 100% of the time for others? Is he a magic doctor too?
