The GOP is to chicken ā ā ā ā to stand up to him because he still has the power over their base. They are so scared of losing power that they will prostrate themselves in face of man like Trump. Sad.

Itās not just the south, one only has to look at the margins of victory state by state to see that, half the county hates the other half according to about every survey and poll I have seen.
I think it was the NYTās that wrote 40% of the country think the opposing party is inherently evil to its core, this canāt carry on like that just prolonging the inevitable if history is to be our guide.
Everyone needs to have their eyes wide open. Republicans are showing us their intentions.

I donāt think this country is balkanizing in the near future unless itās by accident. The elites think they have control over the situation, but they have been playing with fire. Like any kid who found matches, they could burn the house down quickly.
That would be bad for a lot of the world as the US plays a hegemony role.
A senior Trump campaign official told Reuters its plan is to cast enough doubt on vote-counting in big, Democratic cities that Republican lawmakers will have little choice but to intercede. The campaign is betting that many of those lawmakers, who come from districts Trump won, will face a backlash from voters if they refuse to act. The campaign believes the longer they can drag this out, the more they will have an opportunity to persuade lawmakers to intervene, the official said.
The only thing standing in the way of this plan is a sense of shame and Iām not certain that will hold.
They have no shame. They will gladly burn the nation and democracy itself to the ground to save some semblance of power.
