I’m with you in that I despise lying. Now to all those that want to call Trump out, had you done the same for Democrats, I wouldn’t say anything. I’ve been here for years my friend and plenty of lies were told and libs remained silent. You’ll find I’m very consistent in expecting equal treatment for all. The other aspect is what Trump is lying about. He’s an egomaniac. It’s regarding things that he believes makes him look good…not detrimental to our nation. Maybe I’m splitting hairs in your book but there’s so many things to give a ■■■■ about, I’ve determined…this ain’t one of em.
I get a vote(Caesar)…are you kidding me? In real life(The Lord), I get to rock. In this case, I spout what I believe will best help me rock. Trump in office is better than Hillary…and THAT…is all there is to it.
North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat
maybe he did maybe he didn’t
I’m going to increase taxes on the rich, the tax cut is focused on the middle class
Everyone will be covered and it will be cheaper
Casting doubt about Russia being behind the hacking
If we build the wall the drugs will stop
Calling things fake news he knows to be true just to demonize and deligitimize the media.
We’ve been long past the time of trump just lying to make himself look good like his weight or intelligence or golf scores.
Now that’s the best question I’ve heard all day. It’s a shame to say this but I don’t believe you can trust the President’s word? That said, it’s unfortunate but that’s more the rule than the exception. Jimmy Carter is the only President I’d say wasn’t a liar…since I’ve been able to vote…and he was one lousy President.
"This was the conversation during which Trump said, among other things, that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation was “an attempted overthrow of the United States government.”
Whether that statement is true depends on what one sees as the motivation of the people who kept this false narrative of Russia collusion going for two years. IMO, the motive of many was indeed to overturn the legally elected executive. To count that as a “false statement” is to count disagreements of opinion as false .statements.
Now, is it likely that the Washington Post would have many disagreements of opinion with Trump, and call those “false statements”?
