Hasn’t been long enough for history to judge. But I tend to agree with @gooddad409. My only issue with Trump was his behavior in 2020. But, then again, if not for that 2020, loss Trump wouldn’t be President today.
In the long run, I think it all worked out for the best. I believe that 4-year break might have made him a stronger President.

I’m mixed on him like I figured I would be. I do like the fight against DEI, since I vehemently disagree with that ■■■■■ But I’m miffed by the complete lawlessness on the deportation front.
The left is calling it lawless, but it really isn’t. See my comments towards the end of this thread.
My issue is imprisoning people without a trial. Get rid of that then I don’t care.
The AEA allows for foreign enemies to be removed with minimal due process. Sending terrorists to CECOT using AEA is legal and has been upheld by SCOTUS.
Maybe it’s legal but it shouldn’t be.
Until it is changed by the legislative branch, it is the law of the land. The key is that the executive branch is using all of the tools at its disposal to rid our country of what it perceives to be a real threat.
When a DEM administration comes back into power, they can reassess and take whatever action they see fit.
I fully understand the pushback, but those who argue Trump is violating the constitution, really don’t have a leg to stand on.

Dude, you ever consider the fact that until relatively recently STEM has been a predominantly male dominated area of study because the mentality was that women could not handle the coursework or jobs that men with BS degrees in STEM had. Careers like Medical, engineering, scientific research etc.
That is changing thanks to STEM programs targeting women. At the academic end of semester celebration Friday at the college I will be graduating from next weekend, there were several women graduating with BS degrees in biology who will be applying to Medical schools soon, and I suspect they will be kicking ass soon.
Why do you have a problem with recruiting women for STEM types of careers?? There is no grand conspiracy here, no underlying evil motives here.

In fact, the pause on removals to CECOT that SCOTUS ordered is precisely because that question is still working its way through the lower courts.
SCOTUS can only rule on what’s in front of it…it can’t make rulings on matters that are still working their way through the lower courts.
The question of whether the President can call on AEA for this “emergency” at all also has not been ruled on…again SCOTUS has only ruled narrowly based on what has come before it for ruling on.

Yes, there were policies that severely limited the number of women in science and engineering. Equal opportunity is good thing.
But equal opportunity does not necessarily mean equal results. The assumption that abilities and interests are equally distributed by sex and ethnic background results in less qualified people doing the work.

Ironic that Putin has declared a 3 day ceasefire to mark the 80th anniversary of World War II. WW II started because of Germany invading other countries and only ended when the aggressor was defeated.
But we all know that in the bizarro world that passes as reality a lot of Trump supporters believe that Ukraine is the aggressor and Russias desire for peace is thwarted by the Ukraine.
