WAR in Ukraine, Putin approves initiation of special military operation (Part 2)

Probably the most important thing to happen out of this debacle of a war. Putin has pushed Finland into joining NATO after 74 years of staying neutral. Turkey is now giving the green light.

Instead of creating a larger barrier (Ukraine) to NATO led countries, Putin just added a NATO led country to Russia’s border. Thats an 830 mile border. What was the point of the invasion again?

Russia could take all of Ukraine tomorrow and this war would still be a huge disaster for them.

Yup. And speaking of disaster…

Bakmut slowly falling…

It’s being reported that Zelensky is closing churches as well.

Zelensky and Putin are both tyrants in my book.

Exactly, so we should get out fast. But the Liberal neocon’s love the endless wars. They must be making lots of money off it.

I thought it might have to do with the atrocities near Kyiv in Bucha or in Kherson but the warrant is over the mass abduction of Ukrainian children to Russia.

The International Criminal Court said Friday it has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes because of his alleged involvement in abductions of children from Ukraine.

The court said in a statement that Putin “is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.”

It also issued a warrant Friday for the arrest of Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, on similar allegations.

That was Lindsey Graham, who said we should escort our drones with fighter jets and shoot down any Russian planes that try and come near.

It’s a measured warrant with the way the ICC worded it.

They could have went much further. But I’m guessing they wanted to make a statement without offending the Putin regime too much.

Not that it means much unfortunately. The ICC has no means to enforce it. And no other country he routinely visits would enforce it for them.

We never should have gotten in but at this point we should quickly bail.

Yeah its obviously symbolic as there is no way Putin will be actually tried. But its quite a list he gets to join.

They should have went after Obama and the French for bombing Libya into chaos and killing thousands… Remember when the Obama admin bragged about killing 1/2 million children in Iraq. Maddy Albright should have been tried…

Ah Joseph Kony. Africa’s greatest lunatic.

Putin is in good company.

I had no idea how many of these guys they actually arrested, tried and convicted. A little more impressive than I thought. Putin is still dying by a shoe bombing in some palace bunker somewhere.

Either that or 1200fps disease contracted from some GRU agent.

That court is impotent. They went after young Bush at one point i think.

And during various different times of war, the US…

…suspended habeas corpus
…passed some pretty terrible anti-sedition laws
…sent US citizens to internment camps
…force rationing of goods
…capped salaries
…forbade worker strikes
…created one of the most intrusive government agencies of all time

Among other things.

I guess that means the US has always been an autocracy.
