Violence against teachers is on the rise!

As bad as it is now, it’s only going to get worse as we continue to destroy the traditional family along with the massive importing of all the world’s poverty and problems into the US.

Student Violence Against Teachers Is on the Rise - How to Manage.

Teachers report more aggressive behavior than ever before, aimed at both other students and teachers themselves. This uptick in student violence has teachers on edge, worried for their own safety as well as their students’. Many feel helpless in the face of it and question their choice of career.

Are Washington teachers safe? Investigation reveals problem of violence against teachers).

67% of surveyed Washington teachers said violence against them has caused them to consider leaving the profession (compared to 63% nationally).

A vast majority of responding teachers – 79% – said they’d been subjected to physical violence by a student at least once (compared to 71% nationally).

From March 2020 – June 2021, the American Psychological Association surveyed nearly 15,000 pre-K–12 teachers, administrators, school staff, and counselors about their experiences with physical threats and attacks from students and parents.

One-third of the teachers reported being threatened by a student within the year, including verbal threats, cyberbullying, intimidation, or sexual harassment; and 29 percent reported at least one incident from a parent. Fourteen percent of teachers said they had been victims of physical violence from students.

Like I said, this is just the tip of the iceberg, as the traditional family unit continues to decline along with flooding the nation with millions and millions of the world’s poverty and problems, not only will these districts get worse but even the better districts will become just like them. In 10-20 years the majority of public education in the US will be an utter ■■■■■■■■■■

Another consequence of “remote” education IMO.

There are other glaring social deficiencies at work here.

“Defund the police”, “it’s mostly a peaceful protest”, “it’s the summer of love”…

…this outcome was predictable when violence is endorsed by the media and our political leaders.

This nonsense started years ago when Former President Obama looked at the discipline statistics at schools and without looking into anything, labeled it as part of systemic racism. Schools were then required to simply make sure their detentions, suspensions, and expulsions matched the racial demographic percentages of the school.

So when students learn that if they are of a certain demographic they have free reign to do whatever because the discipline options available to the school are gone…

Students would threaten the teachers.
Students would stand on the heads of other students while yanking their hair and screaming they would end the other student over minor offences.
Students would up their bullying of the ESE students.
Students who defended themselves against violence with violence would find themselves suspended because the school didn’t have enough of that race of students with suspensions. The students that started the bullying were given a stern finger wagging.

Its part of why I left the public school system.

In private schools, the worst so far was a student tried to push me out of the way when I kept him from entering the classroom and when I didn’t move he tried again.

All that’s left now is for the childless libs who haven’t seen the inside of a school in over 40 years to come tell us how it’s all actually OK and conservatives are just being grumpy.

Very good post. The large part of the problem is that - especially the types of students in inner city schools - too many students have no discipline and are not taught to respect authority, which is supposed to come from the parents.

I don’t believe anything teachers say anymore.

Shame about the good ones.

This is what happens when you raise completely undisciplined ■■■■■■■■ instead of proper warrior-poets.

What ever happen to parents involvement and connection with the child’s school.

Do they still have PTA or PTO.

Probably should arm the teachers.

Seems the disruption is more internal than any danger from a rare active shooter situation.

From the students is one thing, what I find striking is how often it seems that Parents are threatening and committing violent acts against teachers. Almost as much as the students, it seems. The apple doesn’t seem to fall too far from the tree. At least the kids have an excuse, they’re kids. No idea what is going on in the minds of these parents who feel entitled to threaten and harm teachers.

Because they get away with it. Admin does not side with the teachers a majority of the time. Admin is afraid of getting their asses sued, and with the way things are nowadays, who can blame them. Bad behavior is constantly being rewarded or ignored.

Until that changes, nothing will change.

I drive a school bus for a school district here in South Florida. I’ve been lucky, I transport K-12 and until this year did I have problems and it was with K-5. They’re from a community with a reputation and being objective? Their home lives are likely dysfunctional ■■■■ shows. Reporting their actions the school does discipline them but the mania continues when they return from suspension. I have had middle schoolers act like ■■■■■■■■ but once they’re reported and catch a suspension or detention it calms their asses down. High Schoolers have been more into themselves and their friends and respond respectfully but I give respect. There are drivers who have had issues with boy/ girl physical contact, dumbasses smoking weed on bus, fights etc, we hear the crosstalk on the two way. I’m of the opinion school administrators ultimately have the power to maintain good order and discipline if they are allowed to and have the cujones to confront parents.
Like I said earlier, I’m lucky, I only transport to and from schools. But I’m also lucky the schools I work with don’t take ■■■■ off students if they’re stupid enough to go down that road.
