Perfect…. My youngest lad has already completed it.
Mr. Mushroom’s quest was no walk in the park, but it was no Path of Pain either.
I’ll be going for the next ending soon. When I replay this next year, I’ll be going for the Steel Soul achievements.
Played through FF6 with my kids over the weekend. As this scene started to unfold, my daughter asked, “Is what I think is happening, really happening??”
When baby Terra popped out after the … dance scene, my 2 youngest couldn’t stop laughing. ![]()
Grandkids came over on Saturday to stay, on the drive over here, my daughter was talking to my 4 year old grandson who told her “dont talk I’m gaming” ![]()

I’m just now starting on this one. 5 hours into the Hikari quest and I picked up Partitio along the way.
Game-wise, it’s like a clone of the original, with all the right wrinkles ironed out, the way an initial sequel ought to be. I’m very pleased with mindlessly grinding for now. Currently at lvl 21, getting ready to slap around some gladiator upstart, Secret of Evermore style.
Well just beat the remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics a few days ago. Really fantastic remaster of one of my favorite childhood games. Would have been nice had they included the War of the Lions content from the PSP release, but alas they had to rebuild the game from scratch since the source code got lost a long time ago and doing the base game was hard enough for them. I will say they made some pretty serious improvements. Namely they made the Wiegraf fight a lot more manageable since you can no longer accidentally brick your game thanks to the extra save points they give you in the middle of the series of battles. On the original PS1 release, you could easily brick your playthrough if you didn’t have the necessary skills (namely auto-potion or Shihadori with high bravery) for Ramza and weren’t over leveled. If you didn’t create a secondary save before hand, you could easily get stuck on that fight if Ramza could’t survive a hit from Weigraf.
Also, they made Cloud actually useful this time around so he’s actually worth unlocking and using. His Limits still have obnoxiously high charge times but they gave him a new weapon you can get for him that actually does respectable damage for that point in the game. In the OG release, he was really underpowered when you got him. Now he starts at a level similar to Ramza rather than Exp level 1 and you can actually start using him and leveling him alongside your other party members. Finishing Touch is a really broken move and the charge time is reasonable so you can get some super good mileage out of it.
Of course Orlandeu is still broken. So much so that if you decide to use him it basically makes the game super easy from that point onward. I make it a point not to use him because his sword skills are so busted.
Finally completed Hikari’s quest. Shut up and take my love for the tactical difficulty. This is peak turn-based combat.
Octopath 2 is quickly becoming 8 separate games that I can come back to in between Metroidvanias. These dialogue sequences border on being TV episodes. ![]()
That final boss fight in Himari’s quest has the best version of the battle theme in the game.
Caught myself daydreaming on a Sunday morning. ![]()
This comes out to about $40,000. ![]()
2nd play through of STALKER 2.
But buying Fallout 4 GOTY OG on GOG for $16 bucks to then one click play Fallout London.
WW
Would you say you prefer GOG over Steam?
Fallout London is great.
Honestly I can’t answer because before last night I literally didn’t have a GOG account. (I created one and made the purchase so I can be ready when I finish this run of STALKER 2.)
I’ve never had a problem with Steam so I have no reason to feel the need (such as cost, them not providing the service the claim, etc.).
I’d always mentally associate GOG with older game titles, but I understand they have expanded to newer and AAA games.

The one part of Fallout games that I hate is agonizing over the selection of S.P.E.C.I.A.Ls and starting perks at the beginning.
LOL
I want to be strong, charismatic, intelligent, perceptive and lucky all at the same time.

FF6 T-edition, achievement hunting on a New Game+.
It includes Kefka’s original translation for this scene.
Replaying FFT: The Ivalice Chronicles again. But I’ve been doing a different play style. Ramza as a pure Mage focusing on Arithmetics. And boy is that ■■■■ busted. Also, no special characters at all. Just using the same characters I started Chapter 1 with. Already got back to chapter 4 and doing the Midnight depths side quest.
Finding ways to make the game unnecessarily difficult is peak RPG aurora. ![]()
