Video Games (what are you playing)

If MS screws up Blizzard and starts using even more AI and formulaic routine. I will shred my account of 26 years. That would be painful in the sentimental sense. I guess wiping my windows hard drives could even occur.

I think WOW is safer with MS than Activision.

Bobby Kotick will be leaving soon anyway.

He got his job accomplished. He will get a sweet 200 million dollar severance package and ride off into the sunset.

I’m currently taking a break from Diablo IV. Playing Zelda again and also playing Tactics Ogre: Reborn.

I have jumped back into Horizon Forbidden West and Miles Morales.

You played Burning Shores yet?

Not yet, got to complete the main campaign and will then dive in to that.

Finally the Switch update for Witcher 3 we have all been waiting for.

The Witcher on Switch has had to make some trade offs but the fact I can kick back in my recliner and play is more than worth it.

Only 11 days until I start my Starfield playthrough.

Anyone else planning on playing Bethesda’s first new IP in over 20 years.

I deleted my save data and started over on Bridge Constructor Portal. Can’t quite bring myself to start a new game yet. It’s still too warm outside. I just want to fly with people, not get caught up in their dumbass politics. I have you freaking weirdos for that. lol

Eventually, but not at launch.

I was thinking about the contrast with BG3 and Starfield.

Extended Beta for BG3 resulted in a very smooth launch, yet players were limited to “chapter 1”.

A model that is interesting because if done well it provides for user feedback and bug elimination before go live. It also builds the player base which drives sales.

The longevity of Bethesda games can be attributed to the modding community. Hope it continues.

I have been longing to enjoy single player adventure games again.

Competitive FPS’s PVP are my go to…but BG3 has changed everything.

I am hooked, nice to enjoy a slower pace of gameplay again.

Amazing game

I agree Larian have launched what is without doubt an absolute first class game. Worthy of the awards it will win.

Though unlike Bethesda they have focused on this one IP and also interestingly enough used crowdfunding to help them raise the money needed.

Not yet played BG3 but with Starfield launching next week I am holding off.

A lot of gamers who do not traditionally are hooked on BG3. Fantastic to see a single player experience sell so well.

Hopefully this sends a message to game developers that the single player genre is not dead. Elden Ring, TOTK, even the rebirth of Cyberpunk all show that this type of immersive single player experience is not only wanted but can be profitable.

Surely everyone has seen this by now. It’s the most life-like graphics I’ve ever seen from any kind of media.

It doesn’t even look like a video game to me. “Too real”?

Mostly been replaying Chrono Cross (one of my favorite games of all time; first played it back on PS1 way back in 2000) and also playing Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 (I’m a Tetris fanatic, but I also enjoy Puyo Puyo as well). And I finally broke down and bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because my girlfriend insisted I get a game she could play that wasn’t called Mario Party. Thankfully it finally went on sale for once so I didn’t pay full price for it. I also finished up Tactics Ogre Reborn a week ago.

My PS5 is being used solely for daily Call of Duty challenges right now since I burned myself out on Diablo IV. Waiting on Final Fantasy XVI to go on sale.

Although I have been considering picking up a used copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 and finally finishing that game. I put 30 hours into it back when it launched on PS4 but life changes put that on hold. I sold it and never got back to it. I think I need to finish it.
