What’s amazing is that Browning was literally more than a century ahead of everyone around him and that century has seen the greatest scientific and engineering advancement of any century since man first walked upright.
There’s still arguably nothing that matches the M2 and 1911 for perfection of design and both have been in continuous use by the US and militaries around the world with only minor changes since the A1.
