US issues a red line warning to China

China’s “peace plan”- a cease fire to help Russia build up strength for their next offensive. Oh and no more sanctions. As someone said, the 12 points should have stopped with the first one…bolded

Respecting the sovereignty of all countries

Abandoning the Cold War mentality

Ceasing hostilities

Resuming peace talks

Resolving the humanitarian crisis

Protecting civilians and prisoners of war (POWs)

Keeping nuclear power plants safe

Reducing strategic risks

Facilitating grain exports

Stopping unilateral sanctions

Keeping industrial and supply chains stable

Promoting post-conflict reconstruction

I’ll think on that.

It’s just short sighted and lame enough that it might be true for our political class.

Yeah I forgot one of the points was the end of unilateral sanctions.

I can’t believe dems still shill out the fake news. Did you see the Nancy pelosi’s daughters footage admitting it was just a out of hand protest? No, because the left does not know and does not want to know. Meanwhile American are locked away as terrorists for protesting! That’s real fascism…

Short-sightedness has been the human condition since jump.

Our grand strategy of hegemony is not sustainable.

But I can’t think of an empire in history that ever willingly surrendered its hegemony.

Americans got due process.

It was a riot. That’s all

What are you talking about?

FreeandClear was referring to 1930s Europe?

Those dems hacks on the juries in DC are not a jury of peers… They are just like the insane forelady we all just saw…

To me: that’s like thinking one star player on a football team carrying the team while everyone else slacks off is the way to go.

Make one person who has been locked away for merely “protesting” on January 6.

Amazing how Ukraine looks just like Libya now!

Oh I agree on that.

But the opposite of that notion (the short sighted one) is the big star doesn’t want any other player getting the big contract because there is a salary cap, you know.

(Not surprising that teams that operate that way have a short window to compete and then fade. Patriots only went on as long as they did because Tom Brady took less money than he could have gotten…so the opposite of the short sighted strategy).

Yes, but compared to Obama and Bush, Trump’s a peacemaker. And comparing Yemen to the verge of WW3 is a massive reach.

The guy with the horns did nothing…

Is winning Ukraine worth escalating to nuclear war…?

Yup. I don’t think we’re in disagreement of the effect here. Just whether the cause was intentional or not. It very well may have been, and if it was it was very short sighted.

Intentional or not, we’re stuck in a world where the US is the only real power behind the free world and everyone else just frittered away their defense.

You guys act like the protestors brought their guns.
The only shots fired were for killing a unarmed woman by our govt!

And the bench trials?

I’m going to say something about the woman shot in DC that my side of the spectrum is not going to like.

I don’t fault the guy for shooting her.

While training to go to Iraq we went through all kinda of training before hand, and one of those classes was on base and checkpoint defense.

When you are defending a piece of ground, you HAVE to have a line in the sand. We had an exercise where we had 3 soldiers manning a gate be approached by “unarmed protestors”.

Every single time the scenario was ran where the soldiers hesitated or waited on permission from higher to fire, the entrance was over ran and lost. In one case we got a good laugh watching the video as the protestors yanked the rifles out of the guards hand because they let them get too close.

On defense you must have a “line in the sand point” and you can’t rely on supervisors to tell you when it’s ok.

That is the real question. +10. Why is the USA footing the Ukie bill?
