And these jobs are not LOST. They are suspended until the economy opens back up. State by state, business will suck those unemployed people right back when they open up.
And even though businesses went belly up because of the shutdowns, the goods/services they provided still will be in demand when the economy resumes. Either the original owners will restart their businesses, or new businesses will spring up to fill the voids the defunct businesses left.
So you are saying that it was Trumpâs CDC that is responsible for the governorâs implementing these closures to stop the spread of the virus?
Then do you believe these shutdowns were desirable or not? What would have happened in NY if the subways had kept running and people went to theaters and restaurants in spite of the virus, as the mayor of NYC wanted?
And all that would have happened without Trump and his CDC.
Thank you.
Exactly. If this were an economic collapse the stock market would have collapsed along with the rise in unemployment and the closure of shops. The market just took a limited fall back because there will, of course, be some damage.
Lets not pretend that when people evacuate parts of Florida due to a hurricane that everyone has become unemployed there and businesses are finished. Its just a temporary process.
Itâs naive to assume that the stock market didnât collapse because the economy will bounce back. The stock market didnât collapse because the Federal Reserve and the government are propping it up with trillions in Monopoly money, at the expense of the middle and working classes. Iâm just wondering how long it will be until enough Americans realize whatâs happening and decide to do something.
