Just throwing this out there randomly, but throughout the Ramadan month, eating and drinking is only prohibited during the day time.
The Suhoor is eaten before dawn, and the Iftar is eaten after the sun has set (both daily). Muslims may continue to eat and drink throughout the night before the next sunrise.
At the end of the Ramadan month, the Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Fast-Breaking) is celebrated with feasts and merrymaking.
