Why do you believe the NYT and the Post would file a motion to dismiss as opposed to pursuing discovery? Because they would only do that if they believe there was even a hint of merit to the case and be willing to forgo the treasure-trove of discovery in fear of maybe losing a dismissal motion. Which could be filed at ANY time in the case.

I get that on the merits of the suits. But this opens Trump and his organization up to discovery. Do you understand how huge that is? Especially since they are the plaintiffs here.
a more interesting angle might be to sue the sponsors of these āopinionsāā¦ might not win in court, but the advertisers might take a second look at who they sponsorā¦
