Assuming Trump was talking of the failure of the end result under Lincoln, he may well have been talking about the establishment of Jim Crow laws in the South. I am guessing here, but based on seeing so many complaints of others about how oppression didn’t end with the end of slavery. At least, that’s the only way the little snippet that has some excited could be explained without having real details.
As far as Trump doing more, no doubt he is talking about the economy and the reduction in black unemployment…which the business cycle had to do with. Presidents have relatively little to do with the economy, as long as they dont get us in a major war.
