That’s false. You always pay into the principle. It’s just a lower percentage. If you have a 30 mortgage that’s like 2000 you’re paying about 1500 intrest and 500 principal at the start and it gradually reverses

Except that you can pay additional towards principal and then your interest will decline. But, you knew this didn’t you?

I’d say 90 percent of people and I think I’m being generous dont understand mortgages. Yeah theres fees but only part of it. Most have escrow with taxes and insurance etc.

I bought my first house at 26 . Put 100 grand down. Was in a really good position. Paid my mortgage for the whole year once a year. Then got divorced. Pretty much lost everything and had to start over again.

We have all had to do that at one time or another for various reasons.
