I’ve been doing this stuff for a very long time. I’m also a voracious reader and a student of human behavior. I know full well what real hatred looks like.

Well., he lied to his audience, claiming he’s always supported the “record deep” Great Lakes, when he’s attempted at every point prior to the rally to defund the initiative. He lied to get applause, that’s it. You find that admirable… the rest of us find it comical. Now you’re attempting to brush the blatant lying aside by claiming it’s “hyperbole”…
Here’s the cold hard fact of the matter. Up until 20 minutes prior to the rally, Trump has ALWAYS attempted to defund the initiative.
That’s who he is. He is very effective at what he does, which is why he will easily win reelection in 2020. DEMs still won’t know what hit them.
Once again I can only wonder why are you seem to be so obsessed with this?

I think you’re being too generous. He’s only effective with his base… and quite honestly, I don’t think it’s so much that he’s effective, but more so that his base willfully puts up with the abuse
