As Trump himself rightly pointed out, they facilitated it.
We don’t, unfortunately the Taliban is in control of most of the country.
We either have to wipe them out completely or negotiate and end to the conflict with them as key players.
The whole thing has been a colossal waste of men and resources. There was no point to going in period without the goal of their complete destruction.

They haven’t been designated by the USG as a terrorist Organization.
They are in practice but at the same time they were the controlling gov’t authority on 9-11 and remain in control of most of the country so they are still at least a quasi gov’t entity.
