Nothing has changed. If someone is caught in this country illegally, no matter how long they have been here, they can and should be deported.

With 20+ million illegals here in this country, it simply isn’t possible to deport them all. Target the worst of the worst and then go from there.

I’ve never wavered.

But you are certainly welcome to show me otherwise.

You must have me confused with another forum member. But technically if they are here illegally, then they are criminals.

The policy change says a pause on raids, not deportations.

You left out “the higher wages will lead to higher prices for food and increase inflation.”

Someone must have reminded Trump he owns hotels, restaurants, and vineyards.

Probably that little whiner Eric.

Deport the violent ones/gang members first and foremost (use the scary body armor and such), and anyone else who so much as receives a traffic violation (use the judicial process).

I like it.

good point!

nice to see some sanity in the narrative ruckus

If you actually paid attention to the posts here you would have found over the last year or so many people who supported Trump wanted some exceptions. Some just wanted the flood released under Biden undone. Almost no one said stop all immigration. But go with your MSNBC stereotypes.
Nuances just complicate narratives.

Don’t worry. There is still schools, daycares, doctor’s offices, immigration hearings, etc

are you justifying the illegality of those who are here illegally? based on their profession…?

He’s just doing what Trump is doing… problem?

Right because when you buy a $1 carrot in the supermarket the bosses give 99-cents to the workers right?

FACT:
Wages a teeensy weesy itsy bitsy part of food costs.
We could deport so much labor that labor costs DOUBLE and you’d hardly notice it in what you pay for a dozen eggs.

You know this. I know this. Only difference is your side needs to hope peole are ignorant of the facts, bedasue facts reveal you are wrong and I am right.

Hmmm

You sure about that?

How much do you think he gets paid (hourly wage) per bunch of radishes? About 5 cents? about 1 cent?

Radishes are, right now $1.03 in Walmart.
If we add 1-5 cents to the cost of a bunch of radisshes at Walmart how much will they cost?

At 5 cents that ~5% increase in price.

I don’t know about the rest of ya, but I’m hungry for some TACOs!

Yup.

That’s hypothetical of course, but is hows how struggling low-income families will be benefit, a 100% increase in wages and only a 5% increase in prices.

Definitely the greatest thing that any president ever did for his nation’s working class. Greatest idea in 2,000 years . . . put him on mount Rushmore. Name a state after him.

Agreed?

Let’s continue.

A hotel room (or an airBnb) costs you $200 a night.
The chamber maid, an illegal, is deported and to replace her with a legal American worker, the hotel has to pay double what they are paying her.

How much the the price of your hotel room increase? Again, maybe 5%?
