Trump asked the Georgia secretary of state to "find" votes to overturn the results

the washington post has a recording of the call

The Washington Post obtained a recording of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking “a big risk.

“The people of Georgia are angry, the people in the country are angry,” he said. “And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated.”

“So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

trump should be arrested for this.
this is im trying to get the sec of state to commit fraud

Listening to the tape right now. Unreal. He’s insane.

this is unbelievable.

He should be impeached again in his last days.

You guys have to listen to that tape. It’s incredible.

Meadows was on the call.

“Nothing wrong to saying you know… you’ve recalculated “

as soon as he gets off the plane in georgia for his rally the state police should meet him and arrest him

He should back off Georgia… there’s no possible chance when the governor has a federal judge sister making election decisions for her.

Arrested for demanding that the Secretary of State of Georgia find 11,780 votes? To be votes, they of course would have to be valid votes that had for some reason not been counted.
There’s nothing wrong with that. Of course, it is a task that likely cannot be done, but other than that nothing wrong with it.
Now if he had demanded that 11,780 fake votes be created…but that would be different. We’re talking Trump, not LBJ.

MAGAt : “LOL @ Washington Post… Doctored tapes… Fake Noooooz”

“Technically not illegal.”

“You would be respected, really respected if this could be straightened out before the election”

Why would you assume that Trump was talking about some highly specific number of real yet hypothetical uncounted votes?

I think the implication is pretty clear that he was asking him to “find” votes - not find them.

You are certainly free to assume that. However, that is not a good basis for arresting someone as soon as they get off the plane.

Just straighten it out.

This occurred yesterday. This was a call made yesterday.

It’s a pretty safe assumption, particularly in the context of the call.

But I am not surprised that you are here to defend Trump.

It was very brave of Brad and Ryan to stand their ground. They didn’t sound intimidated at all. Trump was spewing all kind of nonsense as usual - making up facts.
