No … they came on airlines. None of those infected had previously been on cruise ships.

On March 16, according to my notes in this thread, Mainland China had 81,020 cases.
Since that time they’ve only had 760 more cases, for a total of 81,782. If you believe the stats they’re releasing, of course.
Australia’s latest stats: cases 2,994 and 13 deaths.
The US has now overtaken China in cases.
83,507 to 81,782. 1,201 dead in the US.
Italy up to 80,589. 8,215 dead there.

Perhaps she based that statement on the abysmal state of US Navy ships.
Don’t know if she admitted she’d been in error in any part of a subsequent show - I don’t watch Maddow - but she did interview the captain in charge of the Mercy.
US now at 164,274 cases, 63,000 more than Italy.
Only 3,040 deaths though, as compared to Italy’s 11,591.
It looks like we are at peak or just past with the exception of FL and outer New Orleans.

The headline says, “Restrictions are slowing coronavirus infections.”
If those restrictions are removed as quickly as Trump wants them to be, I wonder what will happen them.
I do hope he removes those restrictions. And that everyone knows that it is he who removed them.
What are you saying…You want Trump to remove restrictions so more people can get sick so democrats can make a political case out of it. I’m not Trump fan for sure…but is that really what you want to say???
Not so much that Democrats can make a political case out of it but because I’m curious to see if Trump’s supporters will continue to support him after he puts their lives at risk.
Trump’s not going to actually go out into the middle of TImes Square and shoot someone. The only way we can find out if the equivalent of that is true is to let him have his way with coronavirus.
They didn’t care that he betrayed the Kurds and was directly responsible for the deaths of many allies.
If his knowledge is better than his adviser’s knowledge, and he lifts the restrictions and, if the coronavirus cases go up as a result (which he doesn’t believe will happen and apparently they don’t believe will happen because they trust him) - I want to see if his supporters will continue to support him then.
And if they don’t go up and the death rate goes down…well, they’ll crow loud and long.
I’m willing to see if that happens, too.
