Today’s polls and discussion about polls

yes I know, but the AARP poll was not released on the 11th, and is not reflected on the 11th in your post. It was released yesterday. Maybe you missed it thinking it was released earlier? One of the reasons I also like 270, they publish the release date

hence my confusion.

Allan

Hope this thread stays populated by author and not hijacked by the disaffected…FWIW.

what hijacking do you speak of?

The bickering over polls by Allan is distracting IMO.

Just make a point and let it go.

LOL… the only thing I wanted to do was point out to him he had missed one poll. Is it my fault he decided to make claims that aren’t true?

  1. It was released on the 11th (it wasn’t)
  2. It was on his post on the 11th (it wasn’t)
  3. We were talking about PA (we weren’t)
  4. The polls he cited were PA polls (they weren’t)

I like this thread, I use it to make sure I get a full picture. I’m just doing my part to make Allan better!

BTW… I was done with this once we settled on it being confusing and there being a lot of polls. Allan does a great job posting all of them. I appreciate that.

of course, as pointed out. the only states that matter are the BIG 7.
there is a scenario in which Trump wins the popular vote and loses Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, and hence the election.

can you imagine the shoes on the other foot this time out?

the howling about the unfairness of the Electoral College will be deafening.

Allan

Well we could always make the thread much much better by doing non stop memes over and over and over that don’t contribute to the discussion. Oh wait, that’s every single other thread.

Trump is probably going to win Arizona this time around. Arizona Republicans have embraced early voting during this election cycle. And there are a few Arizona people who are voting for both Trump and Dem Senate candidate Gallego.

It’s a somewhat different picture in the race for U.S. Senate: Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego leads Republican Kari Lake by 9 points. Gallego is helped by some Republicans and independents who are splitting their ticket by voting for Trump for president and against Lake for Senate, who most Arizona voters say is extreme.

Stop whining.

its prolly the same as north carolina. stein wins the governorship over Robinson. but trump gets the nod over harris.

Allan

It’s pretty improbable that a Republican would win the popular vote and lose the EC. Mainly due to number of voters in California.

If a Republican is up by two points in the national vote, it’s a pretty safe assumption that they’re doing well in the Rustbelt.

Accusing him of lying was harsh. Guy does a lot of work on this thread,

Early voting starting today in Texas. Huge line where I will vote, so I will wait a couple of days.
