To War Game or not to War Game? Twitter by Fiat

So Yesterday, SecDef Mattis announced that yes, we would continue planned exercises with South Korea.

Five minutes ago, the commander in chief made an announcement via his favorite platform: Twitter.

So here we are people. Military decisions with far reaching implications being made 280 characters at a time on twitter.

Odds Mattis knew about this decision before I did? Iā€™m betting zero.

Does this actually count as an order?

The Transgender one didnā€™t.

But of course that means nothing as the important point is what other countries think of it.

How can anyone have a problem with what Trump tweeted? Heā€™s spot on and taking the financially conservative, politically motivational, non-confrontational approach. I really donā€™t understand the beef anyone could have with this butā€¦Iā€™ll listen to your objection and hope it isnā€™t more TDS.

I think we just want to know who to listen to since these are contradictory statements.

Well damnā€¦thatā€™s ez pzā€¦your ole pal Smyrnaā€¦thatā€™s who.:sunglasses:

When did Trump start speaking of himself in Third Person? Thatā€™s a new one?

Honestly, weā€™re living in Idiocracy.

How can anyone have a problem with what Trump tweeted?

First, he already declared, multiple times, that the nuclear threat is over.

Heā€™s spot on and taking the financially conservative, politically motivational, non-confrontational approach.

Heā€™s not being financially conservative at all.

I have no idea what ā€œpolitically motivationalā€ is.

He literally promised ā€œfire and furyā€

What is occurring here has nothing to do with international diplomacy and everything to do with backslapping himself with his twitter account. Weā€™re at the same place we were last year. Nothing has changed except the propaganda coming from both sides.

Does it count when John Barron refers to Trump?

He also got NK to abandon its nuclear ambition and declared peace in our time.

For awhile there, it was only occasionally. Itā€™s escalated bigly in the last few months. I think itā€™s a sign of continuing mental decline. Itā€™s bizarre.

For a STATEMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE, itā€™s just terribly, horribly written. Itā€™s embarrassing. Itā€™s like a third grade level. America deserves better. Trump owes the nation better than this claptrap. He himself canā€™t even bother to respect the office. Why should any of us respect him?

USFK and the ROK must stay vigilant.

Itā€™s money well spent.

wait we are going to skip over the fact Trump has started talking in the third person.

ā€œIā€™m not going to do the exercises because theyā€™re expensive, or If I want, Iā€™ll do the exercises, only bigger than ever before.ā€

Military exercises are important in maintaining and improving Soldiers technical and tactical skills as well as team building. This is especially true in Korea, as this is the most difficult assignment in the military to build unit cohesiveness.

It was an official WH statement.

And besides, BlackWolf thinks it sounds bigly cool to refer to oneself in the 3rd person.

Blackwolf may be on to something. Maybe Konssurvative1 will do this thing too. What does Blackwolf think?

Maybe just in this thread?

BlackWolf approves. BlackWolf knows itā€™s the mark of bigly men doing bigly things. BlackWolf is saying BlackWolf too much, and itā€™s become awkward.
