The worst thing about obama care was getting rid of policies that only covered major medical problems.
No one really needs a policy that covers little everyday healthcare troubles.
For years when I was raising a family we paid for insurance that covered major medical problems.
We paid out of pocket for little every day healthcare needs. The policies were cheap and affordable.
I would agree to some kind of government program that offered policies like these for everyone.
You want more than this than buy a policy that covers the rest.

I think you raise a great point, but I think perhaps the opposite might be what is needed. Little every day deals are not destroying lives.

People lives are ruined because of a lot of dumb stuff they do everyday. Peoples lives are ruined everyday because of things they have no control over. Life is not fair.
But no where in the constitution does it say we will make sure you never go broke.
There is no fair in live. You make of it what you can.

Government rules and regulations have caused everything from healthcare to college tuition to raise out of control in the past 50 years.
Government was never meant to be your savior.
The constitution was written to protect you from the government. For too many years we have failed to adhere to what the constitution says and we are paying the price.
