Couple more videos in last 25 minutes
First one is rattail…he was moving fast passing through. Haven’t seen him in few days because of the bears. Hell he didn’t take the time to piss on the post.
Second one is either Gimp or Clumsy out hunting. That’s a really good sign IMO.
Ooohhhh!!! I got me a fish! I got me a fish! I got me a fish!
It’s been confirmed…they were following the salmon run.
He must see you. Skittish, but it is the chicken guy…
Don’t tell him it’s chicken. ![]()
Him when I started to realize something isn’t right.
His first meal from me.
Meanwhile I believe the one on right is Clumsy. He was weakest one.
One on the left is Stalker. Speaking of which. I only seen her once after the video of her in the storm. She doesn’t come out much. This morning I’ve taken two videos, Clumsy and Gimp. Then I seen another one but don’t know which one it was but it was one of two brother because of the size. Wanting to second dip. Which is reason why I only put out two thighs. Hunt if you’re still hungry you pudgy bastards.
Oh BTW. The second picture is only picture where I have all three in it.
Getting to be about that time, eh?
Stalker is basically on her own now. Gimp is ready. Clumsy is still slow in his development.
Meanwhile just like that, bears moved on. My guess following the fish.
Also it hard to let go. ![]()
I didn’t see them on Turkey day so I pulled the wings about hour and half after setting them out.
Today I’ve seen them 4 times total so far.
Here is videos of two of them.
They’re getting big…about 3/5th grown.
Tails straight up in the air at the sight of a stocked post. ![]()
May have major problem here…a mother and her two cubs just passed by the post. She even sprayed it. Notice the height of cat and post. Her biggest cub I’m guessing is a male and little one is female. She’s about the size of Gimp and Clumsy.
Nature vs nurture. Nature always wins. They’ve done better than you expected. I’d still be more worried about winter being their biggest challenge.
That’s true, didn’t expect they would live this long.
It’s not just about keeping them alive, it’s challenges they have to face on there own.
I don’t know if these cats are passing through or moving into there new territory…but have to admit that’s healthy little family.
Nature is very cruel in its indifference. When bleeding hearts start crying about hunters being cruel because they kill a defenseless animal in the prime of its life, I point out to them that a bullet if perhaps the kindest death any wild animal can expect. Most die in agony from starvation, injury, illness or predation (being eaten alive in many cases.) if all three of these kittens live to adulthood it will be against the odds.
