Obama is no longer a sitting president. What he says in a political endorsement video is now done as a private citizen. Is the example then the comment he made during the 2009 interview? What was actively done by Obama and his administration to actively impact Fox New’s ratings?
So news agencies, like CNN, are free to question and disprove statements made by the President and his administration? Does Trump have the authority to actively impact the viewership of those that question him? What about when they’re correct in questioning him?
My understanding was that Trump ousted a particular unruly grandstanding CNN reporter, not CNN per se., But CNN wanted the same princess reinstated. Ousting someone for assaulting a WH staffer seems reasonable to me.
I for one find it extremely comforting that while the US crosses the 100k deaths threshold due to COVID-19, our President is laser focused on writing executive orders to deal with those uppity leftist Deep Staters at Twitter, Google and Facebook, because once again, priorities.
Well, whereas I see the problem, I really am not sure how I feel about how this should go from a practical point. If he would find a more dignified format than the one used by teenagers and those who never grew up to tell each others gossip, and by actors fans to follow their social life, then it might be a benefit. Most of the low hanging fruit for his opponents comes from little apparently ill thought out quips on his twitter account.
