This Is Antifa-interesting

Aren’t they just “an idea”?

Just an ideology, with local chapters, local command and control, intelligence gathering to identify targets for direct action and organized communications links to mobilize assets.

‘not organized’ =/= anarchists.

The same way the jan. 6 rioters weren’t organized…they weren’t anarchists.

Not organized just means there isn’t a main office with a ‘riot hotline’ and a lobbying group…

Anarchists are a specific kind of nut. Antifa are not anarchists.

Are you sure you understand what “anarchy” means?

Yes.

It does not mean unorganized.

Mmmmm.

Most definitely, and it happens when they get recruited at the local school/campus. Step 1. Encourage impressionable young people to become “agents of change” and to engage in “activism.” Step 2. Divide the young people who respond to the encouragement into sympathizers (96-98%) and those willing to go further into action, including violence (2-4%). Take the percent willing to participate in direct action and organize them into cells for activation. Step three engage in various direct actions with varying levels of intimidation and violence.

The development of a true consciousness is still the professional function of the universities.

Herbert Marcuse, Essay On Liberation

Marcuse and Adorno had a falling out about radicalizing students. Marcuse won.

Antifa frequently sprays the “circle-A” anarchist symbol on buildings. That is not a coincidence.

Notice that 'True Consciousness" is not defined. But they were both Marxists and believed that Marxism was the source of “truth” and that indoctrination into Marxism was the method to achieve the undefined true consciousness.

It is Marx’ critical consciousness. Paolo Freire was a big fan. The guy who destroyed Brazilian education.

The rhetorical method is the same. Throw out an innocent sounding label (true consciousness) and let the gullible and uninformed fill-in their own concept for the label. Don’t get pulled down into a discussion of actual objectives, methods and demonstrated outcomes, as these would lead to rejection of the goal.

Absolutely correct. Motte and bailey.

The state is the divine idea as it exists on earth. The state will be perfected. …the individual, whose supreme duty is to be a member of the state. Hegel

These Marxists and neo-Marxists try to pass off a policy, built on omissions and misrepresentations, as a wonderful bailey, then retreat to a fictional motte. Example: They try to pass off CRT as anti-racism and US history. Then when called on the bigoted foundation and teachings they accuse their opponents of racism and not wanting to teach the evils of slavery and Jim Crow.

I prefer Thomas Paine and the viewpoint that government is a necessary evil, which should be limited in scope and authority.

They did. They are about as anti-fascist as North Korea is a Democratic Republic.

A lot of people don’t realize that Antifa isn’t trying to preserve anything, they are trying to spread a political ideology.
