People inciting violence and hatred are a bit more than mean tweets.
Thugs who committed real crimes are being locked up and the Uk releasing prisoners is a completely different issue and one that has been in the works for some time.
My youngest daughter is a probation officer and their case loads are overwhelming. Way too many people for one off petty small stuff or minor drug offences.
And that has been stepped up and being done early in order to make space for these arrests according to reports.
Sorry, but the UK is not a bastion of free speech and inciting violence per their criteria is something I wouldnât hold up as some sort of moral high ground.

The main thing is that the UK allows the US to use UK bases in Cyprus to send supplies to Israel. Everything else is just noise when it comes to UK policy in the Gaza War.

Starmer promises to crack down even more aggressively. Perhaps making space for political prisoners is why Starmer has been emptying the jails of violent criminals.

In the UK it is illegal to post indecent, grossly offensive messages, send threats or false information with the intention of causing distress or harm.
Nine people a day are being arrested for posting allegedly offensive messages online . . .
9 arrests/day x 365 days/year = 3,285 arrests / year
