its the UK. not the US. they have no first amendment.
no right to free speech.
the founding fathers came up with that.

The UK is in serious trouble and mainly due to their insane immigration policies. Itâs hard to understand why their present government leaders would tear their nation apart like theyâre doing. Some howâŚsome wayâŚitâs connected to the World Economic Forum.
Careful what you say here ⌠They may issue warrant for your arrest and have you extradited.
AndâŚthe left loves the authoritariansâŚ
The left IS authoritarian.
You just agreed with the OP and donât even see it.
They are doomed. The iron Curtain is back, only itâs in the west.
Calm down Ceasar, its all good.
I need to take you to the UK, hang out with my family and friends, get a proper full English breakfast in you and some warm beer.
You will see itâs not all doom and gloom.
If I went there Iâd be arrested for what I posted here.
Nah you wouldnât be. Dont believe the hype.
wrong as usual.
i am a huge believer in the first amendment.
i am a dues paying member of the ACLU, who is in the forefront on 1a cases.
sorry to disappoint you.
Allan
Sorry but GB News is not a media source I take any notice of and especially Ben Leo.
No one is being arrested for sharing their opinion, the arrests are all connected to accusations of inciting racial hatred, inciting civil unrest. Whether you are on a digital platform or shouting it in the high street it has never been legal to incite unrest.
Lots of inaccurate information was shared over the murder of the 3 girls in Southport that contributed to the recent riots and they are being held accountable.
But yes if your opinion is that hotels that are housing illegal immigrants need to be attacked and you post that, you can expect to face repercussions.
The balance of free speech is difficult, itâs the eternal argument as to what is the limit of free speech is. Every country, culture, society, group have their own restrictions on free speech.
Even at the level of this tiny society we have on this message-board there is not a right to complete free speech without repercussions.
Nobody is asking for a history lesson. We all pretty much know this. The U.K. has gone full authoritarian and restricted speech like never before. Thatâs the point ot the post.
Then do your own research. Nobody is asking you to trust anything. I encourage you to fact check your lib sources too. See what you find.

I have done my own research, if someone is online (just like in person) inciting violence and civil unrest in the UK it is not considered protected free speech.
And both sides are under scrutiny as they should be.
Garbage
Garbage
That isnât true. They admit to people being liable for arrest even though all they were doing was reposting to warn friends.
"He agreed with the presenter who said, âPeople might be sharing [content] simply to warn their friends, but it could be considered an offense because theyâre amplifying this.â
How was that lady quietly praying outside an abortion clinic inciting unrest?
Scrutiny is worthless. Itâs not gonna stop the goons from putting you in cuffs because they donât like your social media views.
I agree She was not inciting anything and should never have been arrested.
Thankfully the charges were dropped and she received a ÂŁ13,000 payment from West Midlands police, though they did not admit any liability which even though this is par for the course is disappointing.
