NPR is great. Tons of programs on a whole slew of different topics.
I have said this before but during the height of US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan they had a regular segment in the morning show which focused on the servicemen and women out there. There would also be obituaries for those who gave their lives in which they would interview friends and family.
This was in the days when I listened to a lot of Hannity, Beck, Savage etc on the radio and not one of them devoted the airtime like NPR did to those serving on the frontlines.
Most people just parrot the same old tired tropes about NPR but never actually listen to any of their programming.
We shall see. There is a lot of varied opinion as to what is waste and what is worthwhile. And remember, The Congress holds the purse strings, and the President does not have the power of a line-item veto. Dismantling the bureaucracy sounds good, but itās like slaying the Hydra.
