The Official Trump 2024 Candidacy Thread (Part 1)

To be fair, I think I said “idiot”, not fool.

But if I turn out to be wrong, and he is able to get China to do what Trump couldn’t, why wouldn’t he get credit?

The chaos that Barr is worried about is Trump gutting his beloved CoJ and FBI which he worked so hard to protect.

I may watch CNN for the first time in years with Trump at the town hall.

I’ve not been watching any cable news since Tucker got canceled. So, How Ironic!

The swamp creatures include Barr who ALL understand they will be exposed if and when President Trump gets back into the White House. As such, the Dems and RINO’s alike will try even harder now to destroy Trump more than ever before.

He also worked for him :joy:

Yup. As far as I’m concerned, Barr can get bent.

Can Trump win?

Yes he can.

Keep on reading those articles that appear in far right media outlets written by far right authors. It will make you feel good for now.

Funny how these outlets have credibility that the old news has lost.

This is just an opinion piece.

Brandon could come out of his economy mangling stupor any day now.

The CNN town hall went well for Trump.

“I offered them National Guard, I said. We’ll give you soldiers. We’ll give you a National Guard. We’ll give you whatever you want. And they turned me down. Yeah. And in fact … she turned me down in writing. They turned me down,” he said, as Collins continued to argue with him. That prompted Trump to show receipts, literally pulling out pieces of paper and reading exactly what he wrote that day and at what time — a move the audience visibly enjoyed and cheered for.

This is why they had to censor him.

Opponents of the former president expressed displeasure over the fact that CNN basically gave him a platform to speak, referring to it as a “Trump infomercial.”

“CNN should be ashamed of themselves,” lamented socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). “They have lost total control of this ‘town hall’ to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim. The audience is cheering him on and laughing at the host.”

“This is an irresponsible disaster of journalism. We have absolutely learned nothing,” said Matt Fuller of the Daily Beast.

“This is a Trump infomercial,” lamented Meghan McCain.

They cannot debate or discuss. They bully and lie.

We want 4 more years of Trump.

Have Hunter fund your pending election disaster.

I watched the Town Hall last night and I think Collins did a good job of moderation. She pushed him on questions and to be fair Trump pushed back.

CNN cannot be accused of being biased here, they handled the townhall as it should have been. A presidential candidate speaking to the voters of NH. The audience was overwhelmingly in Trumps camp and I liked their questions.

Trump was Trump and this will have solidified his position with his base. However I have no idea how this will play with the floating voters and undecided. Time will tell.

But lets be honest this is all political theater, CNN got views, Trump got airtime and Collins continued to build her profile. Win win for everyone.

In what way?

I think it’s pretty clear that most voters have made up their mind about Trump. He’s a very well known political commodity at this point. What he did and said on CNN did nothing, IMO, to break from his normal behavior and rhetoric.

And you know when we like to say, “The campaign commercials write themselves.”, this is what we mean. Biden has already used video from last night in a social post.

It’s curious that nobody is really talking about the town hall. I thought there’d be a dedicated thread.

It’s a symptom of Trump’s actual popularity.

It’s a reality of CNN reach.

Trump did well.

People are not pleased with the current state of leadership.

I thought about creating one last night as I watched it but couldn’t be bothered.

It was disturbing to hear the audience laugh heartily as Trump mocked his rape accuser. I am sure his lawyer was thinking ■■■ as he called her a whack job.

You are right but can Trump convince enough of them he is better?

The biggest challenge is that people do vote for a person and his personality, his way of insulting and belittling people turns a lot of people off.

The only possible way Trump (IMO) can win in 2024 is if people are hurting bay financially. As we saw in the last few elections focusing on a “stolen” election, abortion, transgender issues and generally culture wars will resonate with the base but not persuade others to vote Republican in the numbers they need.

John King on CNN last night that Trump definitely has a path to victory and not to underestimate him.
