Uhhh, crime is NOT equally distributed throughout any state, duh! It’s 100% dependent upon WHERE one lives within a state. Not all towns in NJ are equal.

Then you agree any state that wants to can leave the union wherever they want. If it no longer works for them, they have the right to say see you later.

Well again I would ask- where does that end? Does every village, county and city have a right to just say “see ya” whenever they want?

There’s a difference. Villages, counties and cities are creatures of the state. The Federal Government is a creature of the state and the people rather than the other way around.
All the arguments in the world make no difference unless enough people in the country agree to allow states to leave, which I see no sign of happening.
The Supreme Court wisely decided after the civil war that states could not leave, at least partially influenced by realizing any other decision would have resulted in their immediate impeachment.

Alaska is safer and I’m guessing much more scenic and smells eons better.

You missed his point. Which would you rather: live 20 miles from a murderer or live on the same block or maybe even in the same tenement building with them? Which would make you feel safer?
