There is likely going to be a net 2 seat shift to the Democrats in the Senate in 2020, with Collins, Gardner and McSally getting swept out and Jones getting the boot as well.

That will create a 50/50 tie that would be broken in favor of Democrats when a Democratic President takes office.

Nixon wasn’t impeached he resigned. This is exactly what Trump wants it’s starting to get sad people on the left don’t see his tactics, he wants a show and they are going to give it to him right before the election.

The House Judiciary Committee voted to recommend several Articles of Impeachment against Nixon. There was no doubt the Democratic majority House would have voted to impeach with 40-50% Republican support.

But a Republican Senate delegation combined Nixon to resign so he was not formally impeached.
