The GOP **is** ethno-fascist

"Nullification of elections is only the latest step in the Republican Party’s strange voyage towards becoming a genuine fascist party. Other steps have a much longer history, notably the moment half a century ago when President Nixon adopted his “Southern Strategy” whereby the Republicans capitalised on the Civil Rights acts to make a political takeover of the American South. The old slave states became the strongholds of the Republican Party which had once freed the slaves and defeated the Confederacy.

It is worth listing the chief characteristics of fascist movements in order to assess how far they are now shared by the Republicans. Exploitation of ethnic, religious and cultural hatreds is probably the most universal feature of fascism. Others include a demagogic leader with a cult of personality who makes messianic but vague promises to deliver a golden future; appeals to law-and-order but a practical contempt for legality; the use, manipulation and ultimate marginalisation of democratic procedures; a willingness to use physical force; demonising the educated elite – and the media in particular; shady relations with plutocrats seeking profit from regime change."

Back to republicans are fascist again?

Back to? That party has been proto-fascist since Gingrich and his Euro techno-futurism.

But, now, ethno-fascist.

That is (a) off-topic and (b) untrue.

Let’s stick to the theme: the full Republican embrace of anti-democratic ethnofascism

and Trump though there were airports in the 1800’s.

It is on topic and it is true.

To take a page from The Wall: we don’t have to eat your mystery meat to eat the pudding.

K…and that’s all I have to say about that. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

So you are okay with Republican ethnofascism and would rather what-about to Q-fictions about stolen elections. Got it.

They’re using code words like ethno-fascist/racial fascism is disguise and distract their own new brand of Fascist-Marxism.

Can you translate out of Q?

Remember, the topic is the full-on Republican embrace of ethnic nationalism and fascism.

Are you justifying that embrace because there are scawy Marxists under your beds?

Sure you can.
what does Racism have to do with Marxism.

I’ve never been Q.

As for Trump, since he’s bound to come up in your as-received talking points, “Beam me up, Scotty” was the response to him I expressed years ago on this forum, or rather a former iteration of it. I mainly liked him only because he exasperated the Left.

Of course voting against the trash the DNC has to offer was a valid reason to vote for him in the first place.
