The future of public schools

From a demographic standpoint an all Korean school would probably dominate everything else.

That’s not true.

That’s not possible.

Why?

MAGA, are MAGA…so calling them that, is accurate. Some are deplorables…not all. We are in a strange time, with the R party being taken over by Trumplicans…there are still some reasonable Republicans, but many have been pushed out, or called RINOs. Dozens of RW Republicans have been banned or no longer come here, as they did not swallow the MAGA path. There is a distinction.

Healthcare, education should be provided by government…most people cannot afford private schools, or high end insurance health insurance policies. Every other 1st would country has some sort of nationalized healthcare and education up to a doctorate. We are the outlier.

Democrats got on board with neoliberalism, following Reagan…and helped create the wealth gap we have today. They also over reach and do stupid things at times…Dems are far from perfect.

I would not recommend utilizing tactics or policies from countries that are crime infested poverty-stricken. I do not know why some ethic groups do better than others…do you? I would imagine there are a lot of variables to be able to pin it on just a few things.

Most states are not that much bigger than Germany. If ran by states, with some funding coming from the Fed could possibly work?

What we do know your way isn’t working…and that’s a fact.

All of that sounds reasonable to me.

They don’t prioritize the value of education in their home lives.

It’s not a money problem. It’s mostly a culture and demographic problem.

Define neoliberalism.

Or self-discipline or manners or service.

What is my way of thinking regarding schools? I am open to changes that have proven results from other systems.

We talked about changes but you always dismissed them outright. Personally I think we should use one room school house model.

Why not? Are those not the areas here failing and dragging down the rest of the country?

Our demographics make it more of a challenge, but we could certainly do better, if we had the will to do it.
Constantly berating a sytstem w/out offering viable solutions is not helpful.

BTW…kudos. You’re the one lib on this entire forum that posted in this thread. What does that tell you?
