Whatās the ultimate goal of the prosecution? To convict Hunter Biden. The prosecutions ability to do that would have been severely hampered if it proceeded during an election. At every turn the prosecution would be questioned about their intentions and the entire process would tainted by politics.
If the goal is to convict Hunter, you wait until after the election to avoid any sense of impropriety.
