The Democrat Party Leadership apparently lied about reducing healthcare costs

If the Democrat Party Leadership was sincere about reducing healthcare costs for American citizens, why are they not on board with stopping illegal immigration which is costing American citizens over $18 billion a year in healthcare costs alone?

SEE: How American Citizens Finance $18.5 Billion In Health Care For Unauthorized Immigrants

“All told, Americans cross-subsidize health care for unauthorized immigrants to the tune of $18.5 billion a year in healthcare costs alone . Of this total, federal taxpayers provided $11.2 billion in subsidized care to unauthorized immigrants in 2016.”

American citizens are sick and tired of being made into tax-slaves to finance a maternity ward for the poverty stricken populations of other countries who invade America’s borders to give birth.

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.”

“And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”

Didn’t the President promise us something bigger, better, and cheaper than Obamacare?

Donald promised us a wall, and great healthcare for everyone at a fraction of the cost. Enough Americans got on board that he won the presidency. He had two years of a GOP dominated Congress. You may as well ask why so many Trumpists are still on board the Trump Train.

It’s Democratic Party not Democrat Party.

Democrats promise everything they will never do. That’s why I don’t believe they will even polish with my shoes. Republicans are the only political parties with integrity. They proved that they are the way, the truth and the light. No voter should want to meet his creator and explain why they voted for democrats/evil people.

That’s not a very clever deflection, and you never answered the question:

Two years, john. Two years where the Democratic Party was marginalized, and Donald and the GOP could have shown progress on those campaign promises. Why are you still on board the Trump Train?

Can’t do it without the House - origination clause. Sorry.

Repeal and Replace a plank of the GOP for going on 9 years. Neither has been done. That is really all you need to say about this subject.

And?

Simple majority is all it takes to pass a bill in the house, and prior to November 6th the GOP had more than that. No sorry about it, the GOP straight up lied to the people who voted for them about actually doing anything about Obamacare. It’s much easier to vilify it than it is to come up with an alternative the people voting for them would accept. Keep it as a voting topic cycle after cycle. Difference this time around is the Dems finally got people to understand the GOP actually didn’t have any intentions of doing anything about it.

Ask trump and the GOP, they are the ones with actual power.

Apparently Donald lied to you. And the GOP lined up behind him.

Two years, john.

It would seem the GOP really thinks their typical voters are clueless, and frankly for the most part that is true. Who they couldn’t continue to dupe was the independents who actually pay attention to the issues, research them and at least have some understanding of the legislative process. Those people have figured out that a party can’t hold all three branches of government and claim they can’t get legislation passed.

Real reduction in health care costs will only come from a) consumers doing their part in researching cost and quality when making healthcare decisions b) Insurance companies continuing to partner with health care providers to enable that transparency to continue and grow.

It is great to see employers moving away from the traditional copay model of health insurance because that type of insurance has been a significant factor in increasing health care costs. Who cares what the cost of a diagnostic is if the consumer only pays a $40 copay. By removing copays, consumers now have real skin in the game.

The government needs to expand tax advantages for Health Savings Accounts and widen what funds in Flexible Spending Accounts can be used for.

I know its not really relevant but not many people know this. If you have a HSA you can only have a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account which can be spent on dental and visions services; however, if you meet your medical deductible then that Limited Purpose FSA automatically converts to a full FSA. This can be very helpful if you know you are going to have a significant medical expense in the coming year such as maternity or surgical.

As an example of making healthcare decisions. Think about the number of parents who take themselves or their children to the ER for cold and flu like symptoms. $2000 visit and 3 hours for something they could have gone to an urgent care clinic and gotten the same treatment for $100. This is one of the many and major reasons why costs are so high. People aren’t educated enough to know these sort of things.

Sorry, had the invasion to deal with and all that.

Actually, they did do something about it. Takes effect in January.

When do hourly people go to a doctor?

Why has Donald not exercised broad emergency powers to deploy troops and repel this ongoing invasion? Where is the wall? Where is the Mexican funding for it? Two years of Republican domination of the federal government, two years of a marginalized Democratic Party.

Apparently Donald lied to you.
