According to this article, he wasn’t even someone ICE was looking for, but he was wrong place wrong time so they grabbed him anyway.
Not illegal…he’s been granted protected status until his asylum hearing in Feb 2027
He never tried to cross the border until he got an appointment with immigration officials
He filed for and got an authorized SSN and has been working steadily and paying taxes, and getting no benefits, of course.
He has never committed a crime, nor has anyone ever marked him as a member of a gang. He doesn’t even have any tattoos, nor has he ever been a political activist.
He did everything right, except, I guess, be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Today, he’s in CECOT.
Hearing “due process” and over may make you uncomfortable…you may not want to hear it, and hence your call to “cut out this due process crap”.
That’s your problem, not ours.
Cases like this latest one are why due process exists.
I’ll wait for the rationalizations you have for this case, which I’m sure will be some form of “of course his lawyers would say all this. I’ll trust ICE, bro!”
No it’s not a conservative position. Because it’s neither socially nor fiscally conservative. But even when we add illegal immigration to the mix then even it’s not a conservative position. The conservative position isn’t to imprison illegals in a foreign country for simply being an illegal.
It a position in support of the actions of a republican administration.
Every lawyer taking someone’s case will support his client. Of course, their client isn’t guilty. They are pillars of the community. They did nothing wrong.
