I’ve already provided evidence showing El Salvador asked Trump to send prominent MS-13 gang members from El Salvador back, as part of the deal they made. That was controversial, because the US was working to put together a case for some of those gang members in the US illegally.
Trump did end up sending 23 ES MS-13 gang members as part of the 261 detainees on those 3 flights to ES. Garcia was mistakenly among those 23 MS-13 gang members. ES explicitly asked for them. There was no reason for the US to pay ES to take ES MS-13 gang members, when ES explicitly asked for them in the first place.
So once again, if you have evidence showing otherwise, please feel free to share it.
The contents of the agreement have not been released other than we paid $6 million for El Salvador to house immigrants at CECOT. Anything more than that is speculation at best. Not surprisingly, yours fits the narrative you’ve created.
You’ve been shown otherwise many, many times, but you continue to post that lie because even you can’t defend imprisoning people who haven’t been convicted of crimes.
The odd thing about those who selected Garcia as their poster boy is that, unlike many others, he is an ES citizen. That means when it comes to primary jurisdiction over his location or status, ES wins hands down over the US. We are in no position to demand “return” of their citizen who is not a US citizen.
If my memory is correct, the DOJ attorney made the claim to the court that it was a ,mistake to send Garcia. This caused the attorney to be removed from his position.
