The Curious Case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia (Part 2)

I said no such thing.

I made no statement regarding truth or lies. What I said was that that quotation is worth nothing to the discussion as to whether García is lying or telling the truth. Just because CECOT is a terrible place (nobody here has suggested that it is not) does not prove that Garcia was being truthful about how he was treated while he was there.

jeez its like pulling teeth.

It’s simple logic Allan. Coincidence is not corroboration. All it suggests is possibility.

Quote a verified eyewitness to the abuse. Or better yet, quote the abuser(s) or show us video.

everything is possible.

i say that garcia statement has a 95% chance of being true.

what percentage do you give it, knowing what the facts of the case are.

Allan

There is no way for me to know. And no way for you to know either. And more importantly, no way to verify any guess on the matter that either you or I make.

The bottom line is, you believe that he’s telling the truth for no other reason than because you want to believe it. I on the other hand, don’t pretend to know. And frankly, I don’t really care one way or the other.

Imagine that.

That and the HRW report are corroboration.

And it begins.

Can you imagine the MAGA war room this morning?

Everybody looking at Miller and Homan. Noem trying to move her chair away from them.

The legal counsel shaking their heads.

Party to the contract. Intimate with details and all meetings. Tsk, tsk.

El Salvador already said he was treated like all the rest of them.

Why would they treat him any differently?

Weak. Anemic.

D⁶ for MAGA

"Scenario 1 vs Scenario 2! "
“Jimmy Fallon!”
“Jon Stewart BOOM!”

Notice the article clearly stated Venezuelan deportees. Garcia was not a part of that deal. Thus, everything I’ve been saying about Garcia has been accurate.

In regard to the Venezuelan’s, nothing I’ve argued has been contradicted. I never really weighed in on jurisdiction of those deportees.

Having said that, I seriously doubt the US retains jurisdiction. What kind of control ES is talking about is up for interpretation. What does that really mean? The US paid for incarceration. Does that mean they get to call the shots?

 :musical_note: CD got a hold on me, really got a hold on me :musical_note:

They could be. Which officials? Are they authorized to speak for Bukele?

 Are you kidding?

I strongly suspect he was subjected to enhanced interrogation. I don’t believe he was subjected to random acts of torture.
