Whiff. I’m not asking for the opinion of someone in internetville. I’m asking for the official timeline. 
There have been a number of experts on TV that have laid out the amount of clinical trials that need to be done before a vaccine is proven safe. From what I have heard the possibility of having something tested by the end of the year is very low. I think that Trump is making a huge mistake with his saying that we will have something by the end of the year. However I hope that by this fall we will have a better idea of a time frame.
There will be vaccine being produced by August. This is not my opinion. It’s not anything I have read. I know this to be true. 100 percent certain.

And I believe that if this was a fact that Trump would be saying it loud and long. I also believe that he is so concerned about being re-elected that he will keep government agencies from publishing anything he thinks is news that would harm his chances. OSHA has certainly been sidelined in all of this and I have to wonder if that came from the WH. All they have done is issue a statement that companies are on their own to make their work environments safe. Exactly the opposite from what they did during the N1H1 outbreak.
I will link this one more time. Nature, a peer reviewed journal and possibly the most prestigious science journal, studied this. Coronaviruses are uniquely blocked by simple triple ply surgical masks, not N-95s, just plain Jane masks.

I’m a realist.
There is no such thing as 100% guaranteed certainty a vaccine will be ready for August.
They might be “producing” one in the sense of manufacturing it at risk to shorten timelines…but the odds it’s a vaccine that can go right into mass inoculations is very very low.
The other kicker is that this virus seems to have infected some children. And in many cases the dosage of a vaccine has to be different then that is given to a adult. And that will require another set of trials.
You are free to believe anything you choose. The vaccine does not have to be proven effective. Only safe. Since the ingredients have been largely used before, we already know it’s safe. And clinical trials with 30k people have shown real promise. Your body has many harmless viruses already. One of those viruses is spiked with some non replicating Covid genetic material. There is no actual live or dead Covid virus involved. Your body develops immunity to virus due to the genetic material.
Trump has mentioned it. It’s part of operation warp speed.
Pediatric trials are almost done. Results are looking good.
That’s just the beginning.
No RNA vaccine has ever been developed.
No a one…in over a decade of trying.
The early trials show promise…nothing more.
Certainly not enough to warrant “I know 100% it’ll be ready by August”.

The odds are not low. The goal is 400 million doses by the end of the year.
Oh he’s talking about an RNA vaccine? Just when I thought there was something to be positive about. Those have never worked.

I have information that you do not. You are speculating. I am not. The reason I said “I know,” is because I know. Warrant whatever you want to warrant.
This will be ignored because it won’t be understood. The real fact of the matter is that never in the history of ever has one been developed. We all hope and pray that one comes sooner than later.
Why do you suppose I mentioned August? It will be going into vials by then. Baring any major set backs.
