More was done for the people of Texas and its infrastructure from hardware supply store parking lots than from any seat of power the last week. HEB would have served bbq to the last man at the Alamo.
If weâre going to go the government doesnât matter at all and donât you dare expect to keep the lights on route than lets sell the rest of this heap offf.
Amazon can buy the logistics, move into the capitol. Tesla can buy the power, and so on and so on. I have a 500million dollar public library that would be a much better google office anyway.
All the politicians are beholden to them anyway so lets just get rid of the grifting middle men.
We can keep it a republic by voting on whether we keep their contracts.
Where were Republican politicians? Did they do better? Did they do it sooner?.Why are you criticizing her for being too late with helping when your reps did nothing?
It is better to nothing at all then not do it flawlessly?
You talking the National Politicians who canât do much in a state other than pose for pictures and offer good words? Or are you talking state and local politicians who were probably hard at work during the crises?
AOC stepped up why couldnât Cruz? Pathetic display of leadership. He failed and got shown up by a freshman rep from New York.
Leaders donât just do whatâs required; they do whatever they can. Cruz proved to the country that he simply doesnât have what it takes to be President
The families who saw their bills spike were reportedly on variable-rate plans with Griddy, an electricity provider in the state
Griddy had recommended that customers switch to a different provider this week, warning them to find fixed-rate plans instead as it predicted the climbing cost of electricity due to the spiking demand. But many customers who tried to switch said other companies were not accepting new customers until weeks into the future, leaving them stuck with their large bills
The government needs to forgive these bills, then step on Griddyâs neck. Thatâs price-gouging no matter how many tiny print contract clauses defend it. And then regulate them so this doesnât happen again. Variable rates should be capped in emergencies.
