Oh bull ■■■■■ Lines don’t see color.
California policies did.
WuWei:So no. You can understand why your opinion holds absolutely no interest for me.
Yet you continually respond or reply to me.
If you are not interested, don’t engage.
Who would correct you?
WildRose:Pure BS. We have three weeks of early voting in this state as well as absentee balloting and of course election day itself.
With a dramatic cut in polling stations over the last 8 years.
That part, is not BS.
The Texas Secretary of State says you must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for an absentee ballot.
- You are 65 years or older;
- disabled;
- out of the county on Election Day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; OR
- confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.
If you ain’t absent, you don’t need an absentee ballot.
WuWei: Eclipze:You can only delay the inevitable for so long.
What do you think is inevitable?
Change
I don’t mind change, as long as it’s progress. Transplants aren’t progress.
With a dramatic cut in polling stations over the last 8 years.
So what? People used to ride horses for days and spend the night to vote.
This attitude is what happens when people drop their kids off at the front door of the schoolhouse every day.
Interesting. So the thinking is we should go out of our way to help transplants turn our state into the ■■■■ holes they left behind?
We don’t fertilize kudzu or give fertility drugs to wild hogs, either.
Voter suppression is illegal.

Not having a polling place in your front yard is not suppression.

Funny how the hundreds of polling places closed just happen to be in places likely to vote democratic.
Coincidence?
Ex-Pat:Smartphone Data Show Voters in Black Neighborhoods Wait Longer - Scientific American
Minorities and other left leaning voters have to wait in longer lines to vote. That is a fact. This is done by design.
I’m usually against tactics such as shaming people at restaurants, protesting at their homes, and blocking traffic. But if you try to take the right to vote away from people, you deserve anything that comes your way.
Oh bull ■■■■■ Lines don’t see color.
The politicians, who decide where polling places go and how many booths are in each one, clearly see color.
Of course it’s BS. Absentee Voting is for those who are actually absent on election day and we have 3 full weeks of early voting during which the polls will be open five to seven days a week prior to election day.
We know the states they are coming from and the conditions they are leaving.

Not at all. Racist?

I support democrat suppression.
Ah, good ole Texas. The state that brought you Ted Cruz, the highest prisoner execution rate in the US and one of the hardest places to vote, especially if you’re black or brown. Now tell me, who is exactly surprised by this??
No harder for them than it is me. Exact same rules.
Do you know the difference between equity and equality? Apparently not. Google it.
Black and Brown folks have to meet the exact same requirements to vote that the rest of us do.
Do you know the difference between equity and equality? Apparently not. Google it.
Ok. I still don’t get it. Can you explain it please?
Who said they didn’t?
You did. In truth it’s no harder for them to vote than anyone else.
