Tampa General: great success with COVID-19 treatment, reduces hospital stays

What is the cost for this treatment and infusion? LINK

“TGH provides this treatment at no cost to our community. We will not bill you for any balance, deductible, copay or coinsurance. However, if you have insurance, TGH will bill your insurance provider for the cost to administer the infusion. If you do not have insurance, the cost to administer infusion is covered by the federal government via the CARES Act. This information may change, depending on the licensing of treatment drugs. TGH does not charge for the treatment drug itself, but other fees may apply.”

We don’t have a push button vaccine.

We have a lot of vaccine because people stopped taking it.

And like I said, OWS prioritized the vaccine over therapies.

That mindset doesn’t shift overnight.

Personally I agree that the mindset needs to start shifting.

COVID is here to stay.

If COVID is here to stay, eventually vaccines will become less effective.

Therefore it’s time to start prioritizing therapies over vaccines since the tech to make new vaccines is now established.

At any rate, none of this changes the fact that the OP was incorrect. mAbs we’re not being pilloried.

Thanks, John.

Looks like some folks are thinking outside of the box.

I applaud them.

To bad that our hysterical, handwringing crowd, dominates the conversation.

Of course COVID is here to stay.

Lot of folks said that from the beginning of this.

So, let’s explore ways to mitigate the effects of it, not shut them down, as supplemental to the vaccine or independent of the vaccine.

I worded my response really poorly. My fault. I’ll amend it in a bit

Huh, you’re just fine. I get where you are coming from.

I just said that.

How do you guys manage to destroy every term you take on as a cudgel?

Narratives

Socialism

Etc etc etc.

Did i say only your side?

I think we all need to speak more loudly on that.

We are all in this together.

Many folks will jump at the chance of an alternative outside of the vaccine.

If is saves lives, why is it a problem?

That’s it right there. The issue was Trump’s irresponsible behavior, followed up by a treatment nobody else was getting, and then capping the whole thing off by claiming to be special, and that Covid was no big deal

Nobody is saying it’s a problem.

That is a myth the OPer tried to perpetuate.

I work for a company that is actively trying to make new COVID therapies.

You think we aren’t speaking loudly?

Okay, put that aside. He was President Guinea Pig.

Did it work?

Should we make it available to all?

I think folks like your company are being shut down. The only, the one and only is getting the vaccine or as people have taking to calling an injection a “jab”.

Of course. But we also should deal with Covid as any other disease: look to preventative measures first, and when those fail, move to treatment.

It turns out, and not just with Covid, that prevention is cheap and effective.

Okay, what are the preventative measures?

that would be because th drugs and treatments for covid already exist and just required testing. much easier to get eua’s for existing drugs that we already know how to use safely. funding went to where the cost was greater. both are needed. a vaccine to control spread, and treatments for after the vaccine wears off. its a cart and horse kinda thing. thank you d trump for your clear thinking on this.

Get the vaccine or die! . . . at least that is what our uniformed hysterical crowd is telling us.

JWK

people should get the vaccine, and a year or two from that when they get covid they should get treatment for the case they have that because of the vaccine wont likely kill them

Get there vaccine or have a higher likelihood of dying. That’s what uniformed hysterical crowd is telling you.

What you posted is what you are hearing.
