The same media that claims that anyone with a MAGA hat is a Nazi have been unable to find any evidence of neo-Nazis and similar groups in Ukraine. Putin exaggerates. MSNBC ignores. Both are propaganda, but MSNBC claims to be presenting news, not just an opinion.
For background, here is a parade of the neo-Nazi Azov battalion in Mariupol from 2016. The equipment appears to be US supplied.
Here is a BBC report about influential neo-Nazi groups in Kiev in 2014, including an interview with Yevhen Karas, leader of C14, at 3:30:
Here is Karas speaking in Ukrainian at a conference shortly before the recent Russian invasion. He explains how the influence of neo-Nazis and allied groups has far exceeded their apparent numbers.
Putin’s poll numbers continue to climb–up 14 points since January. Biden’s continue to tank.
Curiously the New York Times called the Russian polling organization “highly respected” when it showed lower numbers for Putin, but now it is of questionable accuracy.
It looks like western sanctions may well achieve regime change but in Washington, not Moscow.
