Surprise! Colin Kaepernick is the new face of Nike

#1

Nike didn’t let Kaepernick’s stand on kneeling at the National Anthem stop them from hiring him to be the face of the company. This is a very nice and welcome surprise. I will be buying more Nike stuff now.

#2

This makes me happy.

#3

Me too. Very very happy. And they announce it on Labor Day. How cool.

#4

As I said in another thread, would have made way more sense to have Larry Fitzgerald. He’s a class act, well liked by everyone, and a great role model for kids.

#5

Kaepernick is a class act, too. Can’t wait to hear Donald go nuts, though.

#6

Gotta hand it to em… Nike knows their market. Kaepernick… the right choice.
Yep…“Just Do It”.
Who cares if it’s the right thing or not.

#7

This is awesome, props to Nike.

#8

Outstanding move! Well done Nike!

#9

Nike wants to be on the right side of history…good move Nike

#10

Yep, right side of history.

#11

Agree about Larry Fitzgerald. Such a class act.

I think both of these people are excellent role models for kids, or anyone else for that matter.

#12

Fitzgerald is a classy guy.

#13

Good Lord, conservatives are gonna lose it.

#14

We now bring you this talking point straight from the early 1990s.

#15

Nike sales will plummet when Sneaky and his friends stop buying Air Ones…

#16

Kapernick is my personal role model.

It used to be this guy

http://rlhtribute.com

Who I actually served under. Then it was this guy

http://www.veterantributes.org/TributeDetail.php?recordID=380

Who was my commander. But now that kapernick is the face of Nike … well…

#17

Whoever sells mouth guards for gnashing of teeth during sleep is going to make a killing.

#18

If Kaepernick was white this wouldn’t have happened.

#19

Wish there were a lot more people like him in pro sports. There are quite a few players I do like, but Larry just stands out.

#20

I am just waiting for their boycott, those Nike penny loafers and cowboy boots all going in the trash!
